To protect host devices against faulty chargers, the MAX14544 and MAX14545 bidirectional over-current protectors integrate a 28V MOSFET. Forward-current limit is selectable from two factory-preset thresholds of 200 mA and 400 mA while the reverse-current limit is set to 150 mA.
