The 30- to 66-W Open-Frame UNR series of nonisolated dc-dc converters offers up to 20 A at 1.5, 1.8, 2.5, or 3.3 V. These devices operate from a nominal 5-V input (4.75 to 5.5 V) and combine a high-efficiency (to 91%), fully synchronous buck...

The 30- to 66-W Open-Frame UNR series of nonisolated dc-dc converters offers up to 20 A at 1.5, 1.8, 2.5, or 3.3 V. These devices operate from a nominal 5-V input (4.75 to 5.5 V) and combine a high-efficiency (to 91%), fully synchronous buck topology with an integrated-metal-technology (IMT) package. This open-frame package guarantees an overall height of less than 0.5 in. Also, the converters are fully line (±0.1% max) and load (±0.5% max) regulated. With a step response of 50 µs, they deliver low noise (typically 75 mV p-p) and good no-load stability. All 30- to 66-W Open-Frame dc-dc converters are UL1950/EN60950 certified. They cost $53 in single quantities and $35 in 1000-piece quantities.
