To ease qualification processes and promote faster design completion, the S series 10W, radiation-hardened, off-the-shelf, dc/dc converters are available either unscreened or screened to Class K per MIL-PRF-38534. The converters are designed for low-power circuits, such as analog and digital control power systems, signal amplifiers, and sensors in geo-synchronous and low-earth-orbit satellite applications. They accept input voltages from 18V to 40V and provide single and dual outputs of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, ±5V, ±12V, and ±15V. Depending on the device, operating efficiency ranges from 74% to 81%. Other features include under-voltage lockout, output over-voltage limiter, on/off inhibit, short-circuit and overload protection, and magnetically coupled feedback with a radiation hardness of 100 krads total ionizing dose. Operational temperature range is from -55°C to 125°C. For more details and prices, call INTERNATIONAL RECTIFIER, El Segundo, CA. (408) 727-0500.
