Two new dual CMOS low-dropout regulators (LDOs) are targeted at applications such as cell phones, PDAs, wireless LANs, portable computing and communication applications where noise, space, long battery life, time to market and cost are key elements of the design. The TC1301A/B integrates two LDOs—150 mA and 300 mA—and a microcontroller reset function, and the TC1302A/B integrates two LDOs. The devices feature low crosstalk between the voltage output channels, resulting in less noise coupling. Dropout voltage for these devices is as low as 104 mV at 300 mA, and the supply current is as low as 103 mA. Both LDOs are available in a small 3X3 DFN package for increased power dissipation characteristics in a small footprint. Pricing for the TC1301A/B is $1.15 each/1,000 for the DFN package and $1.10 for an 8-pin MSOP. Pricing for the TC1302A/B is $1.10 each/1,000 for the DFN package and $1.05 for 8-pin MSOP.
