The BD62xx Series H-bridge driver ICs promise a simple upgrade path to PWM speed control using either analog or digital inputs, providing both a TTL-compatible interface to an external MCU as well as an internal VREF-PWM conversion circuit. The components are available in three maximum operating voltage classes, 7V, 18V, and 36V, with current ratings in each class of 0.5A, 1.0A, and 2A. Pin-compatible packaging between the three voltage classes at each current level eases design implementation while allowing for power optimization in lower-voltage applications. Two-channel versions are available at each voltage level with symmetrical pin-outs. The BD62xx ICs also include a complete suite of internal protection circuits including over-voltage, under-voltage lock-out, over-current, and high-temperature shutdown. Additionally, the devices can withstand 4 kV of ESD. Available in surface-mount packages with maximum heights ranging from 1.15 mm (SSOP) to 2.2 mm (HRP7).
