High reliability, compactness, and rugged design distinguish Schaefer’s high-density C/B 6600 series of 30-kW dc-dc and ac-dc converter modules and battery charger. There are two standard dc input voltage ranges: 320 to 640 V dc or 450 to 800 V dc. Three-phase ac input voltages are either 3 × 400 V ac or 3 × 480 V ac. The single-output modules come in 10 standard ranges from 23 to 800 V dc. All outputs are adjustable and tightly regulated to 0.2% (load) and 0.1% (line). Standard operating temperature is −20 to +75°C (derate above +55°C), with an option for −40 to +75°C. Modules are housed in a standard form factor for insertion into 19-in. sub-racks. Protection circuitry includes overvoltage, current limit on the output, and thermal shutdown with auto restart. Option include parallel/redundant operation, inhibit, Power-OK/DC-OK alarms, system reset signaling, and others. Applications range from utility, oil/gas, automation, and heavy industrial to military, telecom/datacom, alternative energy, and process control.
