A pulse-width-modulation (PWM) output in the DRV102 high-side power switch is said to conserve power and reduce heat rise for higher reliability. The rugged driver is optimized for driving electromechanical and thermal devices such as solenoids, valves, relays, heaters and lamps.Applications include on/off control (fully open or closed) and proportional control (variable opening or position for partial flow) in medical analysis, industrial control and factory automation equipment. Features include a PWM circuit, internal 24-kHz oscillator, digital input, external delay and duty-cycle adjustment, thermal shutdown, and over- and under-current detection. Output drive is 2.4A with a wide supply range of 8V to 60V.
