LDO Regulators Lower Dropout Voltage In Wireless And Handheld Devices

The IMP2014, IMP2015 and IMP2185 low dropout (LDO) voltage regulators reduce dropout voltage by 41% compared with pin-compatible devices from TelCom Semiconductor, in applications requiring up to 160 mA. Applications are cell phones, pagers, wireless modems, GPS terminals, PDAs, handheld data terminals, and USB hubs. Output voltage options are 2.5V, 2.7V, 2.85V, 3V or 4V with an accuracy of 0.5% at room temperature. These LDOs can sink current up to 2 mA to let them respond to step changes in load faster than most CMOS LDOs.
