LGA MOSFETs Save Valuable Smartphone Space

June 17, 2013
Two new MOSFET devices developed by ON Semiconductor are aimed at mobile-device Li-ion battery charging and discharging protection circuit switching.

Two new MOSFET devices developed by ON Semiconductor are aimed at mobile-device Li-ion battery charging and discharging protection circuit switching. The EFC6601R and EFC6602R will fit into single or dual Li-ion cell implementations, offering high-end RDS(on) performance. Their LGA structure creates a small, low-profile design that’s suitable for smartphone and tablet PC applications. The EFC6601R and EFC6602R have a specified maximum source-to-source voltage (VSSS) of 24 V and 12 V, respectively. Both devices operate from a 2.5-V supply, and contain a common-drain structure and built-in protection diode.
