> The QPS series quarter-brick dc-dc converters from NetPower deliver 70 A at outputs of 1.2 V or less. Efficiency at 1.2-V and 70-A output is typically 86%. Other models in this series deliver 65 A at 1.5 or 1.8 V; 60 A at 2.5 or 2 V; or lower current levels at higher output voltages. These open-frame devices stand just 0.37 in. high, which increases to 0.5 in. with an optional baseplate. Pricing is $68.50 each per 1000. Units begin sampling this month. > The LMV321/358/324 op amps are low-cost, pin-compatible direct replacements for popular models from other vendors. These Fairchild Semiconductor single, dual, and quad amplifiers cost $0.25, $0.33, and $0.49 each respectively in lots of 1000. The op amps also feature reduced supply current, with the LMV321 specifying a typical value of 96 µA at 5 V. For more details, visit www.fairchildsemi.com/pf/LM/LMV321.html.
