Open-Frame AC-DC Supply Family Extends to 150 W

Nov. 10, 2014
High-power additions to CUI Inc.’s VOF series of open-frame ac-dc power supplies include 100-, 120-, and 150-W versions.

High-power additions to CUI Inc.’s VOF series of open-frame ac-dc power supplies include 100-, 120-, and 150-W versions. The second-generation supplies accommodate a universal input voltage range of 90 to ~277 V ac at 47- to 63-Hz input. Output voltage options are 5, 12, 15, 24, 36, and 48 V dc, depending on the series. An onboard potentiometer delivers ±5% output-voltage adjustability. The VOF-100 is rated for operation at 100% load with 6.7 CFM forced-air cooling from –20 to 50°C (derating to 50% load at 60°C). The VOF-120 and VOF-150 operate under convection-cooling conditions at 100% load from –20 to 40°C (also derating to 50% load at 60°C). Efficiencies reach up to 90%, while no-load power consumption drops down to 0.25 W. Applications range from ITE and industrial to consumer electronics.
