Characterized by tight regulation, low noise, and high stability, Calex Mfg. Co.’s Model 3.15.5-115 low-noise linear power supply is suited for use as a dual 15-V rail source with an added 5 V dc output for low-voltage circuit requirements. The supply, powered by 115 V ac, features outputs of ±15 V dc at 100 mA and 5 V dc at 500 mA. Voltage accuracy is ±1.0%, and line and load regulation measures ±0.1%. Noise and ripple is a mere 2 mV rms. In addition, input frequency ranges from 50 to 60 Hz. The device comes housed in a 2.5- by 3.5- by 1.25-in. case (fully encapsulated with an epoxy potting compound for harsh environments) with an operating temperature ranging from ‒25 to +50°C. Chassis mounting kits are available for applications requiring screw terminal connections.
