Plug-And-Play DC-DC Converter Geared Toward Automotive Apps

Nov. 6, 2013
Simplification of power-supply and complex-circuit design in automotive applications is the driving force behind Mornsun’s latest dc-dc converter—a plug-and-play completed power supply.

Simplification of power-supply and complex-circuit design in automotive applications is the driving force behind Mornsun’s latest dc-dc converter—a plug-and-play completed power supply. It’s designed for those applications that require an isolated output from a distributed power system. The CF0505XT-1WR2 surface-mount device features an isolation voltage of 3500 V dc. Input voltage ranges from 4.5 to 5.5 V; output voltage is 5 V at 200 mA. Operating temperature ranges from −50 to 125°C. It offers continuous and self-recovery short-circuit protection, and complies with UL/EN60950, AEC-Q100, and TS16949. Specific automotive applications include the motor-vehicle communication system controller, engine control system, ignition, motor voltage monitoring, electronic accelerator pedal, tire-pressure detection, and others.
