Developed to be equivalent in performance to the CoolMOS technology from Infineon Technologies, this power MOSFET technology for switch-mode power supplies joins the firm's advanced planar, stripe and trench processes in its Technology Toolbox, an arsenal of capabilities assembled to solve application-specific power conversion problems. The products developed using the technology are offered in three performance tiers: the Benchmark Series for applications that require levels of performance not achievable by present technologies; the High-Performance Series for mainstream applications that require an improvement in RDS(ON) with multiple supplier capability; and the Standard Series for applications that require continuity of supply with existing specs.
