Quarter-Brick Converters Deliver Up To 300 W At 12 V

July 21, 2003
The Q-Bus quarter-brick dc-dc converters can supply as much as 300 W of output at 12 V, albeit with a limited input-voltage range. The QBE025A0B converts a 42- to 53-V input to a 12-V output at up to 25 A. The QBK020A0B module accommodates a wider...

The Q-Bus quarter-brick dc-dc converters can supply as much as 300 W of output at 12 V, albeit with a limited input-voltage range. The QBE025A0B converts a 42- to 53-V input to a 12-V output at up to 25 A. The QBK020A0B module accommodates a wider 36- to 55-V input but still delivers 20 A at 12 V. Both achieve efficiencies up to 95%. Now sampling, the Q-Bus modules cost $54.90 each per 1000-unit lots.
