New radio frequency balun transformers, models CX2024, CX2078 and CX2081, are claimed to have low insertion loss, wide bandwidth, and excellent return loss with industry standard footprints. The transformers couple an RF signal from a single-ended source such as a coaxial cable or an antenna to a differential source such as an amplifier input or output. Their small footprint makes them suitable for a wide range of applications including cable television distribution equipment, set-top boxes, cellular base stations and residential gateways. A wound, magnetic core construction is used for wideband operation. The product measures 0.140" maximum. The transformers have an impedance ratio of 1-to-1 for models CX2024 and CX2078 and 1-to-1.5 for model CX2081. Various impedance ratios can be ordered. Pricing starts at $0.95 each/1,000.
