A/D Converter Encodes At 210 Msamples/s

Sept. 1, 2002

Capable of encoding at rates up to 210 Msamples/s, the AD9430BSV-210 is reported as being the industry’s fastest a/d converter. A 12-bit monolithic sampling device, signal-to-noise ratio is 64 dB up to 65 MHz at 210 Msamples/s and spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) is 80 dBc up to 65 MHz at 210 Msamples/s. Other features include an integral nonlinearity of ±1.5 LSB, a differential nonlinearity of ±1 LSB, and power dissipation of 1.3W at 210 Msamples/s. Outputs are selectable as either CMOS or LVDS compatible, and an option allows outputs to be selected as two’s complement or binary. The AD9430BSV-170 operating at 170 Msamples/s is also available. Prices for the AD9430BSV-210 and AD9430BSV-170 are $91 and $75, respectively, each/1,000. ANALOG DEVICES, INC., Wilmington, MA. (800) 262-5643.
