Adapter Dedicated To EEPROM Programming And Testing

Nov. 1, 2002

A special adapter designed to handle the recently introduced Miniature Array Package (MAP) from Atmel Corp. is aimed at simplifying the programming and testing of Atmel's AT24C01A/02/04/08/16 2-wire serial EEPROMs housed in MAPs. The AS-08-08-01MAP-3 MAP programming adapter is a top-loading burn-in socket incorporating an 8-pin base to accommodate a designer's programming needs without resorting to cumbersome work arounds. The MAP replaces the miniature small-outline package (MSOP), providing a leadless package that can accommodate a larger die. Another use for the adapter is in MAP prototype testing. The adapter is priced at $182.00. EMULATION TECHNOLOGY INC., Santa Clara, CA. (408) 982-0664.
