BGA And LGA Sockets Support System Speeds Up To 6 GHz

Sept. 1, 2000

Support for high packaging densities and system speeds up to 6 GHz is offered with this series of BGA and LGA sockets. A zero-insertion-force chip placement system can withstand up to 100,000 insertion cycles before a simple maintenance procedure is recommended. The sockets can act as a heat sink and are suited for high-volume production test applications, prototyping systems, and field-upgradable designs. Pricing for the BGA socket (SK-BGA239B-Z-S-01) and LGA socket (SK-LGA39B-Z-S-01) is $102.54 each/1,000.
