Cable Modem Amp Delivers 64 dBmV From 5V Supply

Operating on a 5V supply, the MAX3505 cable-modem upstream amplifier promises DOCSIS and EuroDOCSIS performance at 64 dBmV output power into 75_. At this power level, second- and third-harmonic distortion performance is -55 dBc typical. The device includes all power-down modes necessary to complete cable upstream transmission when combined with a modulator IC and an output transformer.
