Card Creates Parallel Link For PLC Control Of Servo Peripherals

Dec. 1, 1999

The PISIO motion-control card offers a means of creating a parallel communications link that enables low-end PLCs to control the firm’s SAMCOP servo peripherals. By integrating the PISIO card with the SAMCOP Servo, designers can develop a motion-control system with a high degree of flexibility and cost effectiveness, it's claimed. The card converts parallel signals to serial signals, providing users with low-cost single- or multi-axis control. It can be controlled by limit switches without a controller, eliminating the need for an external hard PLC for reduced system costs.
