The MQ172 Series of compact power supply connectors also doubles as an I/O connector for small handheld devices. Applications for the three-position units include cell phones, handheld computers and PDAs. The connector is about 60% smaller than a typical pin jack connector and uses a stable, two-point mating contact and a snap latch with a positive connection. Durability is assured for at least 5000 insertions. S-shaped spring contacts prevent stressing of solder joints. The contacts have 3A capacity and accommodate AWG 24 to 32 wiring and offer a choice of three keyings.
