cPCI Development Platform Uses Linux OS

Designed to speed the development of carrier-grade computing applications, the LinuxPCI 100 development system for applied computing combines the reliable, open CompactPCI architecture with MontaVista Software's HardHat Linux software. The development system comes with a version of Linux designed specifically for embedded applications.The system combines a fan-cooled, 19-inch rack-mount enclosure with a CompactPCI system based on the Pentium II processor, as well as key peripherals and I/O needed to facilitate application development. These include a floppy drive, hard drive, CD-ROM, and a 300W ac power supply.
