Cross-Platform Software Increases Communications System Fault Detection

Nov. 1, 1999

With support costs and product reliability concerns on the rise for the telecomm and datacomm industries, the firm's HighAvailability software is said to significantly increase system uptime. When a service interruption occurs, the software automatically transfers operation to a standby component within the system to ensure continued operation. It's based on a full range of fault detection and management capabilities and enables hardware and software upgrades during system operation. The software is ready for CompactPCI systems but will also be offered for use on various operating systems and hardware platforms.
