Driver Imparts I2O Benefits To Embedded CompactPCI Systems

Nov. 1, 1998

Generic I2O Class Driver brings the benefits of I2O to the firm's line of CompactPCI intelligent I/O controllers and PMC modules. The driver is a layered Windows NT device driver that allows devices for which no I2O class OSM driver exists to make use of the features of the I2O architecture. When combined with firm's CompactPCI intelligent I/O controllers and PMC modules, the driver offers an efficient and standard messaging layer and a way to rapidly develop embedded systems requiring unique I/O.
