Designed to compete in the cost-competitive arena of the digital camera and optical device markets, the Glass Lid Array (GLA) is constructed from polymer materials and claims as its main benefit the use of a lidding process, where the complete array is covered in one operation with optical-grade glass in a vacuum process. The array can contain between 10 to 100 devices. Five package formats are available as standard products or the arrays can be supplied in a variety of semi- or fully-customized sizes to match the die size.
