With Pipeline, an object-oriented framework for embedded systems development, users can create graphical user interfaces with minimal effort, it's claimed. The framework's architectural model includes graphics-, operating system- and hardware-abstraction layers that enable a Pipeline developer to build user interfaces for any combination of embedded operating systems, CPU architectures and graphics coprocessors. The framework also can be used to build user interfaces for applications that don't require the presence of an embedded operating-system kernel. Pipeline offers an extremely small runtime footprint and compiles into about 100k of code.
