Half-Amp Regulator Claims To Be Smallest

Claiming to be the industry's smallest 0.5A, low-dropout (LDO) regulator, the ADP3335 comes in a thermally enhanced MSOP-8 package that requires a third of the volume of SO-8 devices. Specs for the IC include a 200 mV dropout voltage, an output voltage accuracy of 1.8%, fixed voltages of 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.85V, 3.3V and 5V, and an operating ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Pricing is $1.46 each/1,000.
