Interconnect Fits Sensors And Industrial Automation Systems

May 1, 2000

The VarioQuick interconnect has a proprietary conductor displacement interconnect (CDI) that makes assembly possible without having to solder, crimp or tighten screws or use special tools. Users simply strip the cable, inserts the individual strands into the corresponding color-coded sections of the strand holder, and twists. The cable is then attached to the sensor or actuator where special contact pins pierce the strands of the cable to complete the connection. The contact pins are designed so that standard 12 mm cable sockets can be connected as well as VarioQuick connectors. Price starts at $4 each/100.
