LSI Chips Secure Transmission Of Digital A/V Content

Targeted for use in digital set-top terminals, the CXD-3204 and CXD-3205 are a pair of IEEE 1394-compliant LSI chips that protect digital content transmitted between digital audio/video appliances. The chips integrate Digital Transmission Content Protection technology (DTCP) in the link layer with the physical layer. They support the secure, two-way transmission of digital content across the i.LINK interface at speeds of up to 200 Mbps. The CXD-3204 supports two ports while the CXD-3205 supports three ports, allowing a single LSI to control multiple IEEE 1394 digital interfaces.
