Multi-Function Modem IC Is V.22bis/V.23 Compatible

Feb. 1, 1999

Providing all of the functions needed to construct a V.22bis/V.23 compatible modem of up to 2400-bit/s operation over dial-up lines, 73K324BL multi-function IC appears to the designer as a µP peripheral and is easily interfaced with popular µPs for control of modem functions. The chip expands the firm's K Series modem IC family and is an enhancement to the 73K324L, which adds hook switch control and hybrid functions. The device operates from a 5V supply and is packaged in a 32-pin PLCC.
