Multi Protocol Temperature System Resides In Micro SOIC Package

Nov. 1, 2001

Housed in an eight-lead micro SOIC package, the AD7314 is a complete temperature-monitoring system that is compatible with SPI, QSPI and MICRO-WIRE protocols. Via its band-gap temperature sensor and 10-bit a/d converter, the chip is capable of monitoring and digitizing the temperature reading to a resolution of 0.25ûC. The sensor also provides a measurement accuracy of ±2ûC over a temperature range from -35ûC to 85ûC. Operation is from a power supply voltage from 2.65V to 2.9V. Power consumption in standby mode is 1 µA maximum. Price is $0.99 each/1,000. For more details, call ANALOG DEVICES INC., Wilmington, MA. (800) 262-5643.
