Power Transformers Handle 24V Primary Uses

Oct. 1, 2002

Both standard and low-profile power transformers have been developed for 24V primary uses, such as HVAC and various instrumentation applications. The low-profile SLP-24-050 through SLP-24-300 series includes 2.5, 6.0, 9.0 and 12.0 VA units with a 1,500 Vac hipot rating from primary to secondary. The standard profile SLP-24-350 through SLP-24-600 series includes models ranging from 1.1 up to 12.0 VA with a 2,500 Vac primary-to-secondary hipot rating. The transformers have a three-flange bobbin design, with a Class B insulation system. And they can withstand most aqueous and solvent cleaning systems. Pricing for the power transformers ranges from $2.12 to $4.54 each in production quantities. PREM MAGNETICS INC., McHenry, IL. (815) 385-2700.
