Pulse Transformers Help Keep High-Speed Networks Humming

Oct. 1, 1999

High-speed telecomm networks are expected to be the key application area for a new series of ferrite-based toroids. Based on a recently developed toroid-transmitting technology, the pulse transformers boast of a high linearity and small tolerance range, which allow for uniquely high dc magnetization, it's claimed. And by optimizing electric cross coupling of the toroids' windings, extremely high symmetry is said to be achieved.
