Shield Connecting System Yields Secure Connections

Aug. 1, 2000

Quick and secure connection of standard shield cables to 10 mm copper busbars mounted in either a parallel or perpendicular orientation or to panel-mounted commoning plates is promised with the 790 Series Shield Connecting System. The spring material of the clamping saddle compensates for inconsistencies of cable braiding, making it suitable for use in high-vibration applications. Shield connectors can be mounted close to the unshielded portions of the cable and are actuated by tightening a knurled thumbscrew. The system is available in four variations.
