Designed to connect equipment having dissimilar interface signals, the Universal Signal Interfacer consists of a 14-slot backplane with built-in power supply and a selection of plug-in interface modules, with users picking the type and quantity of modules required to satisfy their interface problem. The plug-ins typically support a pair of separate, unrelated A and B signals, or function together as a circuit consisting of data and clock. The interfacer can also function in an output-only mode for signal distribution applications.Over 20 interface modules are currently available, with the company planning to introduce new modules in the near future. These compact (3.5"H x 19"W x 8.25"D) devices are rack mountable.
