Spring-Type Terminal Blocks Are Compact

The AST21X (vertical orientation) and AST22X (horizontal orientation) series of THR-compatible, spring-type terminal blocks integrate the company’s unique Springcon technology. Packaged in a RoHS-compliant reflow-compatible housing, the terminal blocks are compact and rugged, at just over half an inch tall and a third of an inch deep. The components can accommodate wires up to 16 AWG and are rated for 12-A operation. Tool-less operation is achieved by the use of solid wire. The AST21X and AST22X are available in 3.5- and 5-mm versions and can withstand sustained temperatures of 290°C for well over a minute. UL and VDE approvals are pending.
