Transport Stream Multiplexer Extends Real-Time Capability

Feb. 1, 1999

Said to be the industry's first real-time ATSC-compliant Transport Stream Multiplexer, Model DTS-M DVB analyzer is an easy-to-use MPEG-2/ATSC test and measurement solution for developers of set-top boxes, chips and re-multiplexers. It can observe the effects of program changes without having to create complex streams in advance. The effects of table errors, the settling of transport error indicators, and other anomalies affecting IRDs and re-multiplexers are said to be easily simulated and observed in real-time. The analyzer provides a reliable, known data source with the capability to insert transport header, sync, table and PCR/PTS errors into the system to measure multiplexer, modulator, receiver and decoder error conditions.
