121 Myths Volume 2
What you’ll learn
- Why 121 myths?
- How do the 11 Myths articles work?
- Tips, tricks and information about myths from a variety of topic areas.
Welcome to the second edition of 121 Myths from Electronic Design. You can check out 121 Myths Volume 1 after you make your way through this one. Both are a collection of popular and informative 11 Myths articles.
So what do you know about topics like e-fuses, Wi-Fi, and liquid cooling? Check out the slideshow where the 11 myths for each article are presented. Click on the link to see if you know the answers.
Originally, I was going to choose 11 Myths articles based on a theme like robotics. But I decided to stay with a more random approach because it keeps a wider audience guessing at what the answers might be. It also exposes everyone to a wider range of electronic technologies and issues.
So why 11 and 121? Well, 121 is just eleven 11 Myths articles. Eleven is a prime number and arbitrary on my part. Everyone of the articles in this series will have exactly eleven myths.
I dreamed up this series for people who don’t like to, or want to, write articles, especially engineers and programmers. All you need to do is ask for 11 things they're always talking about with customers, high ups, etc., and then write a detailed response. That's it. Easy.
From the reader’s perspective, the myths tend to be simple and important, or they wouldn’t be worth mentioning, and the responses provide insight so that you can check out more details on the subject (which will probably be on Electronic Design).
We hope you enjoy this volume and the rest of the 11 Myths series. It is ongoing, so keep an eye out in Electronic Design Weekly or check out our newsletters to see the next 11 Myths.

I earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters in Computer Science from Rutgers University. I still do a bit of programming using everything from C and C++ to Rust and Ada/SPARK. I do a bit of PHP programming for Drupal websites. I have posted a few Drupal modules.
I still get a hand on software and electronic hardware. Some of this can be found on our Kit Close-Up video series. You can also see me on many of our TechXchange Talk videos. I am interested in a range of projects from robotics to artificial intelligence.
