Wireless Test Platform Takes on 5G NR-Light, Cellular IoT
Keysight rolled out a network emulator solution specifically designed for protocol, RF, and functional testing of 5G NR-Light and other cellular technologies suited for low-power IoT devices. The E7515R expands the company’s 5G Network Emulation Solutions portfolio, which is used in mobile-device validation across the workflow, from early design to acceptance and deployment.
Like other cellular devices, 5G NR-Light devices require time-consuming and expensive certification from accredited labs before they can be released to the market. Thus, it’s important to perform lab validation ahead of time to identify and correct design issues that can throw a wrench in the certification process.
Based on the same architecture as its 5G Network Emulation Solutions platform, the E7515R can test Release 17 5G NR-Light along with legacy cellular IoT technologies, including narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), LTE Category M, among others. It supports the full device development process, from early design and development through acceptance and certification testing, and ultimately deployment.
