TDK, Passive Plus, Kyocera, and Knowles’ Cornell Dubilier recently unveiled new capacitors and supercapacitors designed for a wide range of use cases.

The surface-mounted AEK Series wet aluminum V-chip electrolyte capacitors operate between 6.3 and 400 V DC.

V-Chip Electrolyte Capacitors Rated from 6.3 to 400 V DC

New surface-mount AEK Series wet aluminum V-chip electrolyte capacitors from Kyocera AVX come in 12 case sizes (0608 to 1216) and have different voltage ratings (6.3 to 400 V DC) and a CV from 1 to 1,000 μF. In addition, the capacitors can last 2,000 (6.3 to 100 V) to 3,000 hours (160 to 400 V) at 105°C. Applications include energy storage, commercial DC-DC, and industrial applications on a high-density PCB. The AEK Series capacitors come with pure tin terminations on 13- or 15-in. reels compatible with automated assembly equipment and support reflow assembly.
