Promising optimal performance and low power consumption, the AD9254 14-bit, 150 Msample/s a/d converter achieves a SFDR of 83 dBc at 70 MHz while consuming 430 mW. The 150-Msample/s data rate eases analog filtering in the receiver path and enables a wider continuous bandwidth up to 75 MHz, necessary to support the 20 MHz bandwidth requirements of WiMAX base station receivers. The device specifies a SNR of 72.7 dBfs with a 70-MHz input and includes a sample-and-hold amplifier that maintains performance levels with input frequencies up to 200 MHz. Additionally, the device is pin-compatible with the AD9246 and AD9233 a/d converters. Sampling now in a 48-lead, 7 mm x 7 mm LFCSP, price is $55 each/1,000. ANALOG DEVICES INC., Norwood, MA.
