A new family of ultra low power op amps boast of a supply current draw of just 880 nA per channel, giving way to reduced power consumption for a wide range of battery-operated applications, such as cellular telephones and PDAs. The new TLV240x family consists of single (TLV2401), dual (TLV2402), and quad (TLV2404) channel options. The ultra-low power consumption of the new devices represents a 10 times reduction compared to previous parts. Designed in the company's latest LinBiCMOS process, the new family operates with single-supply voltages ranging from 2.5V to 16V. The input range includes 0.1V below ground to 5V above the positive rail. Pricing is $1.03, $1.55 and $2.17 each/1000 for the single, dual and quad models, respectively.
