The TAS5152 and TAS5142 dual-channel audio amplifiers debut as the industry's first single-chips to drive two channels at 125W and 100W per channel, respectively. The TAS5152 enables a variety of high-performance applications, including 1 kW, 7.1 channel systems, while providing end-to-end digital amplification. For applications requiring 100W per channel, the TAS5142 provides efficiency beyond 90%, NR up to 110 dB, and a typical THD of less than 0.1%. Both devices employ intelligent gate drive technology that reduces sensitivity to routing modifications without affecting EMI performance. Pin-for-pin compatible, the TAS5152 and TAS5142 are available in 36-pin PSOP3 packages. Prices are $4.30 and $3.90 each/1,000, respectively. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
