Keeping with current environmental initiatives, the HSMP-3866 and HSMP-3816 pi-connected, quad PIN-diode attenuators debut in lead-free SOT-25 surface-mount packages. Operating with a 1.2V control voltage at 1 GHz, the HSMP-3866 features a third-order input intercept point (IIP3) of +30 dBm, attenuation up to 36 dB, an insertion loss of -3 dB, and a typical return loss of -18 dB. The HSMP-3816, with a 5V control voltage at 1 GHz, exhibits a IIP3 of +45 dBm, up to 38 dB of attenuation, a -3 dB insertion loss, and a -22 dB return loss. An application note and demonstration boards are available for both devices. Prices for the HSMP-3866 and HSMP-3816 are $0.56 and $0.60 each/40,000, respectively. AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES, Santa Clara, CA.
