Addressing the need for higher frequency and current in dc/dc converters, the TB7001FL multi-chip module combines a high side MOSFET, a MOSBD to handle low-side functions, and a driver IC that includes MOS gate driver and level shifter functions to drive the high-side MOSFET. Built-in functions include low-side MOSBD shutdown input, thermal shutdown, and under-voltage protection. The package radiates heat from the bottom, dissipating it into the printed circuit board. This enables the device to achieve a thermal resistance of approximately 3°C/W and efficiency ratings up to 84%. Features include a supply voltage of 5V, an input voltage up to 19V, output voltage of 1.5V, output current of 20A, and a switching frequency of 1 MHz. Price for sample quantities is $4.50 each.
