Designed for battery-powered products, the 12-bit single-channel AS1524 and dual-channel AS1525 fully-differential a/d converters deliver up to 150 ksamples/s while consuming 350 µA at 3V. Both include an automatic-shutdown feature that places them into sleep mode between conversions, reducing power consumption at lower sampling speeds. At a reduced speed of 100 ksamples/s, power consumption drops to 245 µA. Power falls to 2.5 µA at 1 ksamples/s and 200 nA during shutdown. Both converters operate from a 2.7 to 5.25V supply and are available in 8-pin, 3 mm x 3 mm TDFN packages with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
