Via internal auto-sense circuitry and a tri-mode charge pump, the FAN5607 LED driver achieves a 93% peak efficiency, even when driving less than a maximum of four LEDs, and ensures tight current matching over the full range of the LED current. Addressing space concerns, the device comes in a 4 mm x 4 mm MLP. It also meets or exceeds the requirements of the joint IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020B and is compliant with European Union requirements set to take effect in 2005.
