The 6xx0 family of multi-channel and bi-directional optocouplers, noted for their compact 9.9 mm x 5.9 mm x 1.7 mm, 16-pin thin SOIC packages, has opened the door for three additions. These include the ACSL-6300 with three unidirectional channels, the ACSL-6310 with three bi-directional (2/1) channels, and the ACSL-6420 with quad bi-directional (2/2) channels. Similar to their ancestors, the recent arrivals operate at a typical speed of 15 Mb/s and exhibit a common-mode rejection (CMR) of 10 kV/µs. They require supply voltages from 3V to 5.5V and function in temperatures ranging from -40ºC to +100ºC. Additionally, the optocouplers meet UL1577 (2.5 kVRMS), CSA Component Acceptance Notice No. 5, and IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-2 international safety regulations. Prices range from $2.07 to $3.99 each/10,000. AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES, Santa Clara, CA. (800) 235-0312.
