Resulting from a proprietary output modulation design, the LX1701 Class-D audio amplifier specifies a quiescent-current consumption of 2 mA and is capable of filter-less operation in many applications. The device has the capability of delivering up to 3W of mono output power into 2V speakers, or 2W into 4V speakers, across the industry-standard audio frequency-response range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The amplifier operates with a supply range from 1.8V to 6V and exhibits a total harmonic distortion of less than 1%. Available in a 16-pin, lead-free MLPQ, price is $0.88 each/10,000.
